OUR FACTORY
L/R works with a team of senior Fashion Designers and Project Managers who assist us with everything from design concept and development through to the finished bulk product— connecting us to ethical & sustainable manufacturers and suppliers globally.
We are currently working with a manufacturing company in Huzhou, China that has been operating since 2013 through our team in Australia. Below you will find factory policies that have been established to ensure the safety & welfare of our workers.
COMPENSATION
The manufacturer recognises that wages are essential to meet employees basic needs, at a minimum and therefore complies with all applicable wages and hour law and regulations, including those relating to minimum wages, overtime, maximum hour, piece rate and other elements of compensation and thereby providing legally mandated benefits.
PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT
The factory always comply with all applicable environmental laws and regulation. The manufacturer assures safety techniques and is increasingly concerned about environmental and ethical issues.
CHILD LABOUR FREE
No Child Labour is engaged in any of our unit, as we give more importance for education during childhood. We motivate on compulsory education for children.
INVOLUNTARY LABOUR
The factory does not use any forced or involuntary labour, whether prison, bonded, indentured or otherwise.
NON DISCRIMINATION
The manufacturer does not discriminate in hiring practices, including salary, benefits, advancement, discipline, termination or retirement on the basis of race, religion, age, nationality, social or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, gender, political option or disability.
ASSOCIATION
The manufacturer respects the rights of employees to associate, organize and bargain collectively in a lawful and peaceful manner, without penalty or interface.
COERCION AND HARASSMENT
The manufacturer treats each employee with dignity and respect and do not use corporal punishment, threat of violence or other form of physical, sexual, psychological or verbal harassment or abuse.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
The manufacturer provides its employees a safe and healthy workplace in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, by ensuring access to purified water, sanitation facilities, fire safety, lightening protector with adequate lightening and ventilation.
